Snapchat is a mobile application that helps users to share images and videos calling snaps to other users. However, unlike images or videos received via text or email, those sent to Snapchat vanish seconds after they are viewed. The sender will be able to determine how long a picture will live from one to 10 seconds after it has been viewed. According to 2015 research, Snapchat is a wildly popular mobile application with 41% of teens ages.
Snapchat allows users to add friends from their phone’s address book and Facebook friends list, or insert unique usernames. To send a picture, users use the in-app camera that takes a snapshot, set a time limit, pick recipients, and send. By clicking and keeping their own picture in a selfie camera, teens enable facial-recognition software that enables them to add animated effects to their selfies. Images are taken by clicking the on-screen shutter repeatedly and text is typed. And it has many adorable filter effects.
Users have a Snapchat inbox where they can see a selection of messages sent and received. In addition, users can talk live with others if they are online at the same time and know each other’s usernames. Often, users can call each other using video or audio, and they can have brief video notes in the conversation. In addition to individual chats, users can create groups of up to 16 participants. Among other social media platforms, Snapchat has a special feature called Snap Map feature. Snap Map helps users to share their location in real-time with someone on their Snapchat contact list and see the locations of their friends who do the same thing. This functionality is a way to use location features that are still available in many other mobile applications. But some of their Snapchat contacts may not be true friends and so we must be careful when adding friends.
Finally have to say everything has good and bad, so when we use social media we must take care of our personality.
